Dmitri Kostenko, chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, said Kim Jong Il was a prominent statesman who achieved the firm unity of people in the most challenging period and turned the DPRK into an invincible military power. He also praised Kim Jong Il as an outstanding thinker and theoretician who developed in depth the Juche idea, an original theory of revolution of great significance in world history.

Eric Andersson, international secretary of the Communist Party in Sweden, said:

Kim Jong Il was a great leader who led the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people along the road of victory, foiling the imperialists' move against the DPRK.

He made undying contributions to the cause of global independence.

It would have been unthinkable without his leadership that the Korean people have worked miracles on a daily basis full of conviction and optimism of their rosy future.

The chief secretary of a regional committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party said Kim Jong Il is boundlessly revered by not only the Korean people but also progressive mankind for his noble traits as a great man and for his exploits.
