Kim Jong Il Remembered in UK

Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- A joint remembrance meeting took place in London on Dec. 14 on the occasion of the second anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il. Displayed in the venue of the meeting were works of Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and DPRK publications. Present at the meeting were personages of progressive political parties and organizations including the committee for remembering Kim Jong Il, New Communist Party, Revolutionary Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the Coordinating Committee of the British Friends of the DPRK and masses. Its participants paid silent tribute to Kim Jong Il. Andy Brooks, general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party, praised Kim Jong Il as a peerless patriot and great revolutionary who dedicated all his life to the prosperity of the country and its people's happiness. Michael Chant, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), said that Kim Jong Il found a perfect solution to the issue of succession to the revolutionary cause. The sacred revolutionary career and exploits he performed by dedicating all his life to the people, sharing destiny with them, will always be remembered by humankind, Michael noted. Dermot Hudson, chairman of the Association for the Study of Songun Policy, expressed conviction that the socialist cause of Juche would always triumph under the guidance of Kim Jong Un. A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting. |
