The contest held in Slovakia from December 20 to 22 brought together more than 100 men and women skaters of 13 countries including the DPRK, Russia, Romania, Hungary and Poland.

Participants in the contests divided into adult and youth groups competed in various events for final standings.

Choe Un Song took the first place in total points in 500-metre, 1,000-metre and 1,500-metre events of adult group, bagging a gold.

Ju Yun Mi and Choe Sung finished second in total points each in women's adult and youth groups, garnering silvers while Kim Chol Gwang came third in total points in men's adult group, winning a bronze.
