Art Squad of Youth League Gives Performance

Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- The art squad of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League gave a performance at the Central Youth Hall Tuesday, the 22nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 96th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk. The performance began with narration and song "Ode to the Motherland." Put on the stage were such colorful numbers as female solo and panchang "Soldiers Answered". The performers praised Kim Jong Il for developing the KPA into an invincible revolutionary Paektusan army and putting the dignity and strength of Kim Il Sung's nation on the highest level. Female vocal quartette "Arirang on Jiansanfeng" and other numbers helped the audience recollect the revolutionary life of Kim Jong Suk, woman commander of Mt. Paektu, who provided the precious tradition of devotedly defending the leader. Male vocal duet "Youth" and others represented the dignity and honor of young vanguard under the leadership of supreme leader Kim Jong Un. Among the audience were Ri Yong Su, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, and officials of the youth league, youth and students. |
