In a treatise published on the occasion of the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung he expounded the idea that a century-long history of Juche Korea is the most sacred and glorious one shining with the august names and revolutionary exploits of the President and leader Kim Jong Il.

In the works published in December when the whole county deeply grieved over the demise of Kim Jong Il Kim Jong Un set forth the idea on overcoming the sorrow of all service personnel and people with redoubled courage and carrying through his behests without any deflection or compromise.

He sent a message of thanks to all service personnel of the Korean People's Army and people who displayed intense loyalty in devotedly implementing their behests during the 100-day period of mourning the demise of Kim Jong Il. In the message Kim Jong Un expressed the will to spruce up in a more solemn manner the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun where Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lie in state and devote himself to the socialist country and its people.

In his speech delivered in the military parade on the occasion of the centenary of birth of the President, Kim Jong Un clarified that single-minded unity, invincible military power and industrial revolution in the new century precisely mean a socialist thriving nation and gave the order to make a general advance "Forward to the final victory!".

In his New Year address Kim Jong Un put up the slogan for this year marking the 65th anniversary of the foundation of the DPRK and the 60th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and set forth a strategy to glorify this year as a year of creation and great changes.

He set forth tasks for kicking off a grand onward movement for improving the people's living standard at the national meeting of light industrial workers held in March.

He published the historic appeal "Let us usher in a fresh heyday on all the fronts of socialist construction by creating the 'speed on Masik Pass'" making sure that fresh miracles and merits were brought about in all work sites for a great surge.

In his works Kim Jong Un stressed the need to surpass the world level by accelerating campaign of brains, campaign of intelligence, and demonstrate the honor of the country and the resourcefulness of the nation before the whole world.

He sent a letter to teachers and students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School on their 65th anniversaries and delivered a congratulatory speech at the joint national meeting of the Korean Children's Union organizations for celebrating the 66th anniversary of the KCU. His letter and speech reflect his noble wishes to see the younger generation, successors to revolution, stoutly grow up to be masters in the future.
