The present south Korean ruling forces have frantically kicked up a racket of confrontation with fellow countrymen over the last one year since they seized power, touting "confidence-building process" and "theory of principle."

The "confidence-building process" and "theory of principle" which the south Korean regime adopted as its "policy towards the north" are a vivid expression of the narrow-minded and obstinate confrontation idea of the puppet regime.

The keynote of its "confidence-building process" is to build confidence between the north and the south on the "basis of strong deterrence" in a bid to lead the north to make a "right option" for "dismantlement of its nukes" and establish "genuine peace".

It is as clear as a pikestaff that the "confidence-building process" will only bring tragic consequences of further bedeviling the inter-Korean relations as it is aimed to hurt fellow countrymen by denying and antagonizing their ideology and social system.

The "principle of theory" persistently touted by the present south Korean ruling forces is, in fact, nothing but a theory for bringing down the inter-Korean relations. This is evidenced by the fact that the essence of the theory calls for making a "framework of new relations between the south and the north" whereby the south is neither dragged by the north nor makes any concession to the latter.

It is a tragedy that the inter-Korean relations are in a state of complete bankruptcy as there is not a slight sign of improvement.

If the south Korean authorities persistently pursue the policy of confrontation with the DPRK, being hostile to fellow countrymen in the north, far from drawing a lesson from the collapse of inter-Korean relations this year, they will only meet a shameful destruction, warns the article.
