Rodong Sinmun Denounces S. Korean Regime's Smear Campaign against DPRK

Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the south Korean Institute for Unification Studies again staged an anti-DPRK human rights campaign by publishing and floating "2013 white paper on human rights records in the north" peppered with all sorts of fabrications. Meanwhile, the "Saenuri Party" is working hard to fabricate an evil law for escalating the confrontation with compatriots, grumbling "it should no longer keep mum" and the "bill on human rights issues in the north" should be rammed through the "National Assembly" as early as possible. Rodong Sinmun Sunday observes in a commentary in this regard: The above-said moves of the puppet regime can never be overlooked as they were prompted by its cynical ploy to tarnish the inviolable dignity of the DPRK and image of socialism and stoke the north-south confrontation. Such despicable ruckus staged by the south Korean conservative forces under the signboard of human rights is an unpardonable politically-motivated provocation and mockery of the service personnel and people of the DPRK who protect their leader and social system, regarding them as dearer than their own lives. The bloody "yusin" dictatorship is being revived and democracy and human rights are mercilessly violated in south Korea. The puppet conservatives are a group of criminals who should sit in the dock at a human rights tribunal. The present regime has its roots in the past ill-famed "yusin" dictatorship. It can never conceal its despicable true colors as the worst regime opposed to democracy and shuddering human rights abuser. The commentary discloses the ulterior aims sought by the dictatorial maniacs in groundlessly finding fault with the human rights performance in the DPRK though they are utterly indifferent to the dignity and human rights of people. The conservative group, afraid of the danger of being ousted from power right now, is getting evermore desperate in its anti-DPRK human rights campaign as it did in the past, the commentary notes, and goes on: This is also designed to divert elsewhere the public attention and calm down their mounting anti-"government" sentiment at any cost. The group should properly know that with no desperate frenzy can it escape its fate already sealed. |
