The Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum was successfully built in Pyongyang as a monumental edifice of the times. The Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery was constructed here and cemeteries of fallen fighters of the Korean People's Army were rebuilt or built across the country.

The soldier-builders constructed the Unha Scientists Street and apartment houses for educators of Kim Il Sung University in a matter of several months. They were built at the highest level on the basis of formative art to the best convenience of settlers.

Many edifices have been built in a matter of 9 months to boast highly civilized socialism. They include the large-scale combined Munsu Water Park, Mirim Riding Club, Ryugyong Dental Hospital, Okryu Children's Hospital, Munsu Recovery Center, Rungna People's Sports Park, Pyongyang International Football School and the Rungna 4-D Simulation Cinema.

Parks, recreation grounds and rest places have been built in Pyongyang and all provincial seats and an epochal turn has taken place in city management as evidenced by signal successes made in creating greenery and turf of new species.

The new speed of advance has put spurs to the drive to put the national economy on a Juche-oriented, modern and scientific basis.

The vitamin C production base was commissioned. It is equipped with the latest production process by biological engineering method.

A velvet shop was built at the Pakchon Silk Mill and the knitting yarn production process appeared at the Hamhung Woolen Mill.

The Hamhung Knitwear Factory was updated and the production process of the Phyongsong Synthetic Leather Factory was reconstructed.

The Pyongyang Essential Foodstuff Factory has emerged a modern factory and another model unit in which cultured practice was established in production and life at a high level.

Tens of thousands of hectares of pastures were reclaimed and adjusted, more than 2 000 hectares of land turned into grassland, at least 22 000 domestic animals have been secured and more than 300 buildings were constructed through the drive to reclaim the Sepho Tableland at the second "speed on Masik Pass" and the speed of the Sepho Tableland.

The Central Mushroom Research Institute appeared at the State Academy of Sciences and the construction of mushroom cultivation bases, profitable comprehensive stock-breeding bases and greenhouses has been pushed forward across the country and the project for expanding the capacity of the Kosan Fruit Farm has been carried out.

The construction of the dam of power station No. 2 and the project of surge tank were wound up at the construction site of the Paektusan Songun Youth Power Station. Manpho Yonha Power Station, Orangchon Power Station No. 2 and Chosan Youth Power Station No. 2 went operational.

The project for laying railways branching into the Soksong Coal Mine and that for putting railways on an electric track were finished. The completion of the project for rebuilding and repairing the railway tunnels between Manpho and Hyesan railway sections opened the prospect for completing the project for rebuilding and repairing the northern railways ahead of schedule.

A huge project for building the gas producer shop and high-temperature air-combustion heating furnace and other objects were wound up at the Kangson Steel Complex.

The huge construction of the zinc oxide production process and the project for the first-stage rebuilding of liquefying process were finished at the Tanchon Smeltery and the ferrosilicon production process was built at the Haeju Kumgang Youth Smeltery.

The Thaethan Taehung Mine was commissioned and the ore crushing shop of Dressing Plant No. 3 of the Komdok Mining Complex and Mine Lot No. 3 of the Puraesan Mine were updated.

The base for producing functional three-ply sheets for greenhouse of tens of millions of square meters per year was built at the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex, fuel pumping branch factory at the Huichon Precision Machine Plant, a cement factory with great prospect in the Sinwon area and the methanol production process established at the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex.

A dynamic drive for production was waged to improve the standard of people's living.

The silk and cotton production rose up at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill, the Hamhung Silk Mill and other units, and workers of Pakchon, Nyongbyon, Anju, Tokchon and Phalwon waged a dynamic drive to carry out their plan for the production of polychromatic silk and tetron ramie cloth through the increased production.

The Pyongyang Foodstuff Complex and factories under the Pyongyang City Management Bureau of Food and Consumer Goods Industries produced tasty and nutrient foodstuffs. The yearly plan for gross industrial output value was honored till November 15, taking the Ministry of Food and Consumer Goods Industries as a whole.

Local industrial factories in Jagang Province, Hoeryong City, all provinces, cities and counties kept the production going at a high rate.

Achievements were also made in culture.

Fresh and dynamic performing activities of the Moranbong Band and performances given by the State Merited Chorus and the Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble demonstrated the might of the steadily developing Songun culture and arts.

"Ode to the Motherland" and "Party Flag, Always with You" were produced, representing the trust of all service personnel and people in the party and country in the wake of the creation of songs "July 27 March", "Tell, Fireworks of War Victory", "Respects to Victors of Great Age" and "Holiday of Great War Victory" reflecting the spirit of the times.

"We Know You Only" and "Revolutionary Armed Forces Uphold Leadership of Marshal Only" representing the will of the service personnel and people of the DPRK to follow Marshal Kim Jong Un with deep trust in him resounded far and wide across the country.

Talented artistes achieved successes in international concours and festivals one after another and DPRK acrobatic pieces won top prizes at the 14th Wuqiao International Acrobatics Festival and the 12th Grenoble International Circus Festival.

The supreme ideal of people and final victory of the great Paektusan nation are sure to be achieved when the will of the army and people of the DPRK to share destiny with the party to the last runs high on this land. This is the proud review of this year's struggle.
