Important Days of DPRK Observed in Foreign Countries

Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries to celebrate the 22nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the second anniversary of Marshal Kim Jong Un's assumption of the same post. They included meetings, book and photo exhibitions and film shows in Germany, Angola, Russia, Iran and Nigeria between December 21 and 24. On display in the venues of the events were photos documenting exploits Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un performed in leading the army. Also displayed there were books and photos introducing the invincible might of the heroic KPA and the real picture of Songun Korea. Present there were figures of various social strata and other people of relevant countries. Staff members of the DPRK missions in the relevant countries were among those present there on invitation. Films shown included "The Tower of the Juche Idea" and "Pyongyang Today". The chairman of the Communist Party of Germany said that socialism in the DPRK is making a long drive as Kim Jong Il held aloft the banner of Songun and weathered all sorts of trials of history. The director for foreign relations of the Popular Liberation Movement of Angola said that President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk whom the Korean people always hold in high esteem are prominent great persons who brought freedom and sovereignty to the Korean people and fully demonstrated the dignity and pride of the nation. The vice mayor of Nakhodka City of Russia noted the DPRK's single-minded unity will always remain unbreakable thanks to Kim Jong Un, who has made ceaseless journeys for field inspection to meet soldiers, braving the danger to his own safety. The president of the International Taekwon-Do Association in Iran wished the Korean people greater success in building a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un firmly defending the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK. |
