It said that many people from all walks of life in the DPRK visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun where leader Kim Jong Il lies in state and the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill on the occasion of the second anniversary of Kim Jong Il's demise and paid high tribute. December 30 marks the second anniversary of supreme leader Kim Jong Un's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army, it said.

It carried a photo of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk, woman commander of Mt. Paektu, in military uniform with a broad smile on her face on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of her birth.
