Public Catering Establishments Busy with Preparations for New Year's Day Service

Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- Public catering establishments here are busy with preparations for the New Year's Day service. The officials under the General Bureau of Public Service are paying deep attention to making citizens keenly feel the loving care for the people shown by the Workers' Party of Korea through the service. There was a display of different dishes at Chongnyu Restaurant on Dec. 26 with the attendance of relevant experts from the establishments. Pang Ung Gil, a deputy department director of the bureau, told KCNA that citizens will enjoy various kinds of nutritious and tasty dishes like noodle in flat vessel with meat, noodle with pheasant meat, roe steak, Sinsollo (traditional Korean dish), terrapin, sturgeon and salmon food at Okryu and Chongnyu restaurants and other establishments during the New Year holidays. Stalls on streets will serve roast chestnuts and sweet potatoes to please citizens, he said. He said that restaurants in the city are likely to be crowded with people. Over 10 restaurants under the Changgwang Public Service Management Bureau will serve rice-cake soup, entrails soup, steamed crab and others, he added. |
