Kim Jong Un Sends Congratulatory Message to Chairman of Chongryon Central Standing Committee

Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Supreme leader Kim Jong Un sent a congratulatory message to Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), on the New Year, Juche 103 (2014).

The message said:

Greeting the hopeful New Year 2014, I extend warm congratulations and hearty compatriotic greetings to you Comrade Chairman and all other officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan.

I am very pleased that last year the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan consolidated Chongryon organizations as firm as a rock and achieved proud successes in the movement of Koreans in Japan, courageously weathering all sorts of difficulties and ordeals under hard conditions in an alien land.

It is my firm belief that this significant year which will see the 23rd Congress of Chongryon the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan will usher in a new heyday in the movement of Koreans in Japan, living up with patriotic enthusiasm to the profound trust and loving care shown by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for Chongryon and Koreans in Japan
