The supreme leader in his New Year address extended New Year greetings to all the service personnel and civilians. His address instilled great hope and confidence into everyone and every family.

Hearing the address of Kim Jong Un on TV, the family of Pak Chon Ung, a war veteran living in Pothonggang District, Pyongyang, expressed gratitude to Kim Jong Un for his New Year greetings.

His daughter Pak Song Suk told KCNA: I could hardly repress my gushing tears when Marshal Kim Jong Un wished that all the families of the country would overflow with greater happiness and joy.

The same is true of all other families across the country. The members of Ra Song Nam's family in Moranbong District burst into cheers, seeing on TV the bright smile of Kim Jong Un and hearing his resounding voice. Writing down the gist of his New Year address, they kept in their minds his deep intention.

Meanwhile, in different parts of the capital city of Pyongyang many citizens were seen avidly reading newspapers carrying the New Year address of the supreme leader.

Jong Hak Su, a citizen, said:

Every word and phrase of the New Year address of Marshal Kim Jong Un redoubles my confidence and courage.

The address serves as an invincible treasured sword that we should hold fast to this year.
