Floral Baskets Laid before Statues, Portraits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- People from all walks of life including service personnel and schoolchildren have visited statues and portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il across the country on the occasion of the New Year Juche 103 (2014). A large number of people have visited the statues of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill. Seen before the statues was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. Laid before the statues were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, industrial establishments at all levels, farms and schools in the city as well as bouquets and flowers. A floral basket in the name of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front was placed before the statues. People paid tribute to the peerlessly great men before their statues in humble reverence. Floral baskets in the name of KPA units, institutions, enterprises and others were placed before the statues and portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in different parts of the capital including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Il Sung Military University, Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, Ministry of People's Security and Mansudae Art Studio. People across the country made bows before the statues and portraits of smiling great Generalissimos. |
