Important Days of DPRK Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- There took place abroad events on the occasions of the 22nd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army, the second anniversary of Marshal Kim Jong Un's assumption of supreme commandership of the KPA and the 96th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk. A celebration and Korean book and photo show were held in Myanmar and round-table talks in Pakistan and Malaysia on Dec. 28 and 29 last year. Portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il were displayed in the venues of the events. On display were photos documenting feats of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu. Also displayed there were books and photos introducing the invincible might of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the struggle of the servicepersons and people to build a thriving socialist nation. Tin Tun, director of the Myanmar Medical Research Institute, said: The KPA under Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un has grown stronger to be invincible revolutionary armed forces that have achieved great unity with the people. It has greatly contributed to the building of a thriving nation. We are convinced that the army and people of the DPRK will as ever bolster up the defense capability of the country in every way and perform fresh miracles in the efforts to build a thriving nation under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. Zabed Ansari, secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, Ghulam Rabbani, chairman of the Karachi Juche Study Center of Pakistan, and other speakers praised Kim Jong Un as a peerlessly great man who has successfully carried forward the revolutionary cause of Juche and the revolutionary cause of Songun, which were pioneered and victoriously advanced by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. A director of a Malaysian company noted that Kim Jong Suk bravely fought against the ferocious Japanese imperialist aggressors for the liberation of Korea, adding that her feats would remain shining forever. |
