Going round Huichon Power Stations Nos. 5, 8, 9 and 11, he learned about the progress made in the construction and generating capacities and convened a consultative meeting.

The meeting referred to the importance of the construction of power stations in building an economic power and discussed measures to push forward with the dam construction.

The premier also made field surveys of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex and the Ryongjin Cooperative Farm in Kaechon City, South Phyongan Province.

He took measures to operate the generating equipment in full capacity at the complex and generate electricity to the maximum and thus contribute to solve the problem of electricity.

He stressed the need for the agricultural officials and workers to do farm work with sincerity, bearing in mind the intension of the party on keeping hold on agriculture as a major thrust in the efforts for the economic construction and the improvement of the people's living standard this year.
