The statement fully supported and welcomed the New Year Address made by Marshal Kim Jong Un, saying that the address called for firmly preserving the standpoint of By Our Nation Itself, protecting security and peace of the nation and creating the atmosphere for improving the north-south ties.

But such a dishonest remark as "sincerity" is being heard from south Korea, the statement said, and went on:

Such an act of slandering and antagonizing the fellow countrymen should no longer be tolerated.

We strongly demand the south Korean authorities lend an ear to the Koreans' voices desirous of national reconciliation, co-prosperity and peace, and belatedly opt for improving relations with the north, away from the anachronistic concept of escalating confrontation with the DPRK and far from kowtowing to outsiders.

We, Koreans in Russia, will conduct more dynamic activities for peace on the Korean Peninsula and reconciliation, unity and reunification of the nation.
