Present there were Ri Yong Su, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), officials of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and the UAWK, other officials concerned, youth and students, agricultural workers and members of the UAWK.

The meeting of young people was held at the Youth Park Open-Air Theatre.

Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, addressed the meeting to be followed by speeches.

They called on all the young people to fully display their heroic spirit as the young vanguard living in the era of Songun in the on-going worthwhile drive to translate the beautiful ideal and dreams of people into reality.

They underscored the need for the young people in the field of agriculture to make contributions to attaining the goal of grain production set by the WPK without fail in this significant year by playing a pioneer's role in bringing about a signal boost in agricultural production.

They called on the young people to devote themselves to building up Pyongyang into a more magnificent city and sprucing up their hometowns, villages and worksites.

They also called on them to live a worthy life with arms and earnestly learn military science and technology so that they may wipe out aggressors at one blow once an order is issued by supreme commander Kim Jong Un and thus accomplish the historic cause of national reunification.

The meeting of agricultural workers and UAWK members was held at the Migok Co-op Farm in Sariwon City. Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, made a report to be followed by speeches.

They pledged to bring about a revolutionary turn in the agricultural production in this significant year marking the 50th anniversary of the Theses on the Socialist Rural Question, true to the noble intention of Kim Jong Un.
