They called upon the officials and people in the agricultural field to bring about a decisive turn in agricultural production this significant year marking the 50th anniversary of the Theses on the Socialist Rural Question made public by President Kim Il Sung.

They stressed the need to launch in a bold and big way the work for realizing the party's grand construction plan and ensure the quality of structures on the highest level by displaying the patriotic devotion.

They underlined the need to direct efforts to the development of science and technology, achieve scientific and technological successes needed for the economic development of the country and the improved people's living standard, make the climate of attaching importance to science and technology prevail in society and accelerate the work of making all the people well versed in science and technology.

They said that factories and enterprises should put production processes on a modern basis, increase the production by tapping all potentials and latent reserves and decisively improve the economic guidance and management.

They also stressed the need to thoroughly establish the traits of attaching importance to the military affairs, sincerely assist the People's Army, strengthen the army-people great unity in every way and thus resolutely foil any provocation of the enemies for aggression and defend the country.
