The statement said:

This year marks 20 years since President Kim Il Sung signed the last historic document related to the national reunification.

The New Year Address of Marshal Kim Jong Un called for making fresh advance in the movement of national reunification, bringing great delight and hope to all Koreans.

The south Koreans and the progressive media and even conservative media gave wide publicity to the New Year Address and even politicians welcomed it.

But only the south Korean authorities are zealously kicking up the racket of escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen, while hurling a whole gamut of slanders and calumnies.

This clearly reveals their intention to quench the ever-growing desire for improving the north-south relations and implementing north-south joint declarations and to leave the destiny of the nation to the tender mercy of outsiders this year, too.

The General Association vehemently denounces in the name of all Koreans in China the south Korean authorities for answering the efforts of good faith for reconciliation with moves of bad faith for confrontation.

The south Korean authorities should make a correct option, well aware that Koreans who are all out in their dynamic general advance for national reunification for this year are watching them.
