Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Friday in an article calls for rejecting the interference of foreign forces and firmly adhering to the stand of By Our Nation Itself in the national reunification movement. As the issue of the national reunification is in essence the one related with the national sovereignty, nobody can find fault with the Koreans' efforts to reject foreign forces' interference and settle the issue of the national reunification by their concerted efforts, the article says, and goes on: In order to achieve the reunification of the country independently, the foreign forces should not be allowed to interfere in the issue of reunification. The U.S. bisected the Korean nation prompted by its interests in aggression. The U.S. ambition to perpetuate Korea's division and put under its control the whole of Korea will never change just like the leopard does not change his spots. The interference of foreign forces is a major obstacle lying in the way to the reconciliation, unity and reunification of the nation. If the south Korean authorities truly want the peace and reunification, they should abandon their anachronistic policy of relying on foreign forces which is harmful to the inter-Korean relations but maintain the principle of national independence and take the stand of By Our Nation Itself. The north and the south already affirmed the principle of national independence through the three principles of national reunification and the north-south joint declarations. The south Korean authorities should respect the principle of independence on which the north and the south agreed and show their positive attitude of rejecting the interference of foreign forces and settling the inter-Korean relations from the stand of By Our Nation Itself. The DPRK will make positive efforts to achieve the national reunification, peace and prosperity by firmly maintaining the stand of By Our Nation Itself in future, too. |
