It is none other than the entire Korean nation that earnestly wants the national reunification with vital interests in it.

The Korean nation is a homogeneous nation of the same blood that has lived on the same land for 5 000-odd years. But the outside forces forced division upon the Korean nation, disregarding its sovereignty.

Untold are pains the Koreans have suffered from nearly 70-year-long national division. Their families and relatives remain separated into the north and the south and the continuous national division makes it impossible to achieve the unified development of the nation.

Korea is like an organism that cannot survive separately. Its reunification is a nationwide cause directly related to the destinies of all Koreans, and it is the only way for the nation's existence and prosperity.

It is also because the entire Korean nation has the power to achieve the reunification.

The motive power of reunification depends on wisdom, will and might of the nation.

The Korean nation is exceptionally strong in patriotism and mental strength. It has preserved its identity as a homogeneous nation for a long time, bravely defeating the persistent aggression and interference of outside forces.

It is also well aware of the tragedy of the divided country and is able to solve the reunification issue in conformity with its actual conditions.
