16 teams are divided into 4 groups to play group league matches. The teams placed first and second in the groups will play knock out events to decide champion.

The DPRK team played the first match with Yemeni team on Saturday. It scored two goals in the first half and one in the second half of the match, defeating its rival 3:1.

It will play the next match with its Syrian rival on Jan. 13.

The teams from the DPRK, Syria, Yemen and United Arab Emirates belong to Group B.
