The idea of By Our Nation Itself is the most just one of national unity to be invariably upheld by all compatriots at home and abroad in their drive for independent reunification. The June 15 era of reunification has eloquently proved that when all compatriots uphold the banner of By Our Nation Itself, idea of the great national unity, they can smash any challenge and obstructions by anti-reunification forces and achieve national reunification without fail.

The June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are the most just great programme of reunification common to the nation as they clarified the will to achieve the country's reunification independently by concerted efforts of Koreans.

In order to achieve national reunification, all compatriots should reject the foreign forces opposed to reunification and all Koreans desirous of reunification should pool their efforts. No force on earth can match the unbreakable unity and might of the Koreans with same blood and history when they unite close.

All Koreans in the north, the south and abroad should wage a nationwide movement for reunification to adorn this as a year of victory which would bring about a fresh turning phase of independent reunification, peace and prosperity.
