It, associated with the great feats of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu, is an important place of ideological and cultural life of the Korean people.

President Kim Il Sung gave field guidance to it 77 times after its establishment and gave important teachings which would serve as guidelines in operating it.

Leader Kim Jong Il made sure that the palace named by the President serve as a base for cultural life of the Korean people, including youth, in name and reality, and sent modern equipment to it. He showed its employees deep trust and love, providing field guidance 44 times.

Over the past 40 years since its foundation the palace has successfully carried out its mission under the wise leadership of the party and the leader.

A celebration meeting took place on Tuesday.

Present there were Secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea Kim Ki Nam, Vice-Premier Kim Yong Jin, officials concerned and officials and employees of the palace.

Kim Ki Nam read out a congratulatory message the WPK Central Committee sent to the workers, technicians and officials of the palace.

The WPK Central Committee in the message highly appreciated the workers, technicians and officials of the palace for devoting all their knowledge and energy to successfully carrying out the revolutionary tasks assigned by the party with boundless loyalty to the party and the leader and the spirit of devoted service for the people.
