The statement said that Kim Jong Un in his historic New Year Address indicated the important goal of the struggle for raising a fierce wind of a fresh leap forward on all fronts of building a thriving socialist country and gave the tasks and ways for achieving the goal.

The statement went on:

We are sure that the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the people of the DPRK will achieve great success in the grandiose struggle for building a socialist economic power and a highly-civilized country this year, too, under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, great strategist and statesman.

We extend full support to the struggle of the Korean people to build a thriving nation under the great banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

We also extend solidarity to the struggle of the Korean people to reject outside forces, firmly preserve the standpoint of By Korean Nation Itself and protect security and peace of the nation.

We fully support the idea of the DPRK's foreign policy -- independence, peace and friendship -- which calls for striving to expand and develop relations of friendship and cooperation with all countries that respect its sovereignty and are friendly to it, safeguard global peace and security and promote common prosperity of mankind.

We call upon progressive political parties, governments and organizations of the world to extend firm solidarity to the WPK and the people of the DPRK in their endeavors for prosperity of socialist Korea and independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.
