The statement noted:

We are deeply moved by the New Year Address of Marshal Kim Jong Un in which he extended high tribute and New Year greetings to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, tribute to the martyrs who dedicated their precious lives to national defence and socialist construction last year and New Year greetings to all the service personnel and people, compatriots in the south and abroad and the world progressives and other foreign friends.

We are very pleased that the Korean people powerfully demonstrated the might of Songun and bolstered up national defence capabilities in every way last year.

The Korean people will surely open up a heyday of Songun Korea by raising a fierce wind of a fresh leaping forward on all fronts of building a thriving socialist nation this year, too.

We, together with the world progressive peoples, extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just efforts to realize the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and to build a thriving socialist nation.
