The revolutionary spirit of Mt. Paektu is the ideological and mental mainstay to be more firmly cherished despite manifold hardships and trials and grim situation, and the fighting spirit to be fully displayed as the revolution advances far and socialist construction progresses apace.

The precious tradition of unity and cohesion of the revolutionary ranks centering on the leader could be provided as passionate loyalists held President Kim Il Sung in high esteem as the sun of the nation in the period when the revolution was hewed out, and anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters followed him to the last with the immutable belief that Korea is sure to be liberated as they are led by him, overcoming grim ordeals in the vast area of Mt. Paektu. Transparent and true are the faith and obligation of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners who followed and upheld their leader though there was no promise when the revolution is won.

The anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters were human beings like gem and bamboo. It was them who did not pardon to the slightest the betrayers of revolution seized with fear for the changing situation even though they were their kinsmen.

The red flag of revolution fluttered in the forest of Mt. Paektu was precisely the banner of defending the leader, and the gun report by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners to annihilate the enemy was the one for defending the leader.

The noble mental world of the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters who put up the slogan "Let us defend the headquarters of the revolution with our very lives!" has been carried forward along with the slogan "Let us defend with our very lives the Party Central Committee headed by the great Comrade Kim Jong Un!"

The editorial calls upon all service personnel and people to usher in a golden age of Songun Korea in the on-going general advance in the revolutionary spirit of Mt. Paektu as they did in the past annals.
