Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- A Russian political party and organization released statements on Jan. 7 and 10 supporting the proposal set forth by supreme leader Kim Jong Un for national reunification in his New Year Address. The Nakhodka City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said: We are deeply moved to see that Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address reiterated his will to implement without fail the behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il for national reunification. The three charters for national reunification and the historic north-south joint declarations were provided and the reunification movement confidently advanced thanks to the undying feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. National reunification is the most important task facing all Koreans. All Koreans in the north, the south and abroad should make dynamic efforts to achieve national reunification, firmly united under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. We are convinced that the Korean people would wage a more vigorous movement for national reunification, foiling the moves of the separatists at home and abroad in the idea of By Korean Nation Itself. The Russian Group for Solidarity with the DPRK said that peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula are in full line with the interests of its neighboring countries including Russia, adding: We support the three principles of national reunification which calls for achieving the country's reunification free from outside forces' interference. We hope that Koreans would bring about a fresh turn in mending the north-south ties this year as indicated by Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address. We valuing peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula extend our invariable support to the Korean people in their efforts to reunify the country. |
