The letter said:

The WFTU expresses solidarity with the KCTU and railway workers in their struggle in the name of its 86 million members in 126 countries.

We bitterly denounce the barbarous and undemocratic moves of the south Korean authorities who violated the democratic right of trade unions and made the police storm the headquarters of the KCTU and walk away its leading members and workers.

We will always stand by railway workers in their just struggle against railway privatization, lay-off and threats.

We will express support to the struggle of the KCTU and organizations under it against railway privatization and join the workers and people of south Korea in their struggle.
