Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Yong Il, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Ryong Nam, minister of Foreign Trade, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Kim Hyong Jun, Chae Chun Hui and other officials concerned, diplomatic envoys and military attaches of foreign embassies and representatives of international bodies here.

The Cuban ambassador said at the reception that the victory of the Cuban revolution was the result of the self-sacrificing struggle of the revolutionaries and patriots, paying noble tribute to them.

The Cuban people, who registered great achievements despite the imperialists' ceaseless blockade to stifle the Cuban revolution, will as ever struggle against imperialism, he noted.

The friendly bilateral relations provided by the great leaders are solid, he said, adding that the Cuban people would always stand by the people of the DPRK.

He wished the heroic Korean people greater successes under the wise leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Yang Hyong Sop in his speech said that under the correct leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba the Cuban people has defended the country, revolution and gains of socialism from the vicious moves of the U.S. imperialists to isolate and stifle Cuba.

He wished the Cuban people greater success in their efforts to implement the decisions of the 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba.

He said that the ties of comradely obligation between the two countries provided by the great leaders are being carried forward under the deep care of Kim Jong Un.

He stressed that the people of the DPRK would as ever work hard to achieve the world peace and security and the prosperity common to mankind together with the Cuban people.
