Halt to Joint Military Drills Demanded by S. Korean Paper
Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet paper Minjok Ilbo on January 17 posted an editorial titled "Key Resolve, Foal Eagle joint military drills should be stopped unconditionally".

The editorial said that the U.S. and south Korea plan to stage the joint military drills from the end of February by mobilizing huge aerial and naval war hardware including large transport planes and large landing craft and armed forces.

The drills will be the largest-ever ones as the ill-famed U.S. third naval task force based in Okinawa is to be hurled into them, it said, and went on: These war exercises targeting the north is rendering the situation to an extreme strain and a war may break out on the Korean Peninsula any moment.

Nevertheless, the Park Geun Hye regime is taking the double-dealing attitude as if it hoped for improved relations between the south and the north.

To stop the north-targeted war exercises is the only way to evade the danger of a war created on the Korean Peninsula.
