uppression of S. Korean Railway Trade Union under Fire

| Pyongyang, January 23 (KCNA) -- The Joint Conference of Human Rights Organizations in south Korea held a press interview in Seoul on Jan. 20 in protest against the suppression of the Railway Trade Union, according to south Korean KBS. At the interview the organization accused the railway corporation of putting pressure on the trade union through its moves to impose punishment and compensation for damage on about 500 unionists for the mere reason that they attended a strike. The organization demanded the guarantee of the right of the trade union. |
