Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Agricultural College under Kim Il Sung University recently developed up-to-date testing and measuring instruments, among them gene amplification device, soil salinometer and soil acidimeter. The gene amplification device is used for detection of crops' genetic property, genome mapping, diagnosis of genetic and virus diseases and other purposes. It can help conduct scientific test in a more effective way. The soil salinometer, based on the electric conductivity, is able to measure the temperatures of water and ground. It is helpful to ensuring the tideland farming on a sci-tech basis. And the soil acidimeter is also useful for scientific researches and agricultural production. Those new instruments are lower in production cost than imported ones, and very high in accuracy. The portable measuring instruments have already been applied to co-op farms, winning popularity. |
