The formation of the North Headquarters of Pomminryon on January 25, Juche 80 (1991) marked a coming-of-age event as it helped consolidate the organizational system of Pomminryon and gave further momentum to the unity, cohesion and solidarity of the patriotic forces for national reunification in the north, the south and overseas.

The formation, development and brilliant achievements of Pomminryon are entirely ascribable to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il's idea of achieving great national unity and their wise leadership, the article notes and goes on:

Their noble idea, line and policy for achieving an independent reunification should be thoroughly implemented. This assures victory in the cause of national reunification.

Pomminryon should give much publicity to the validity and vitality of the Three Charters for National Reunification and the North-South Joint Declaration at home and abroad and powerfully arouse all Koreans to adhere to and implement them.

Great national unity provides a sure guarantee for the victory in the movement for national reunification and it is the basic mission of Pomminryon to give further momentum to it.

The great national unity represents a mainstay for national reunification and a main objective of Pomminryon's patriotic movement for reunification.

At a time when the anti-reunification foul wind should be stopped and a wide avenue paved for the improvement of the north-south relations it is an urgent task for all Koreans in the north, the south and overseas to get united as one irrespective of ideology and social system.

Pomminryon should strengthen its organization and expand its ranks and, at the same time, achieve strong solidarity and alliance among Koreans in the north, the south and overseas and intensify joint actions. In this course it should achieve solidarity and unity of broad strata of Koreans.
