Supreme leader Kim Jong Un said in his New Year Address that the new year 2014 will be a year of grandiose struggle, a year of sea changes, in which the DPRK will raise a fierce wind of making a fresh leap forward on all fronts of building a thriving socialist country and thus usher in a golden age of Songun Korea.

He also set forth "Let us raise a fierce wind of making a fresh leap forward on all fronts of building a thriving country filled with confidence in victory!" as the militant slogan which the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people should put up this year.

What is drawing special attention in his New Year Address is that he underlined the need to give priority to the agriculture, construction and science and technology so as to make a leap forward and changes.

It is his intention to clearly prove the validity and vitality of the theses on socialist rural question by waging the ideological, technological and cultural revolutions dynamically in the rural areas and bringing about a decisive turn in agricultural production this significant year.

The paper enumerated the tasks of various sectors advanced in his New Year Address, adding:
