The statement said:

It is a very vital issue to halt acts of slandering each other, establish a climate for reconciliation and stop hostile military acts in improving the inter-Korean relations and defending the peace and stability in the region.

Prompted by this, the NDC of the DPRK proposed the south Korean authorities on January 16 to take practical measures of halting all acts of provoking and slandering the other side and totally halting all hostile military acts against the other side from January 30, a day before the Lunar New Year's Day, upon authorization of the government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK.

It also proposed taking a mutual practical measure to prevent a nuclear holocaust.

The crucial proposal is an expression of sincere efforts of the DPRK to practically improve the climate of the worsening inter-Korean relations and defend the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.

Recognizing that the crucial proposal serves as a just measure to tide over the acute situation created on the peninsula, the Pioneer Party of Indonesia demands the south Korean authorities carefully approach the proposal and positively respond to it.

The Pioneer Party of Indonesia will as ever positively support the efforts of the DPRK to ensure the peace and stability on the peninsula through dialogue and negotiations and join the Korean people in the drive to realize their just cause.
