Present at the meeting were Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Han Kwang Bok, department director of the C.C., the WPK, Choe Sang Gon, chairman of the C.C., the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea and chairman of the State Commission of Science and Technology, standing members and members and alternate members of the C.C., GFSTK, officials of its associations and societies and those of the GFSTK in Pyongyang and local areas.

The meeting discussed what should be done by the commissions, associations and societies at various levels to implement the tasks set forth by supreme leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address for this year.

A report delivered at the meeting was followed by speeches.

They said Kim Jong Un's New Year Address serves as a permanent banner to be held aloft for energetically accelerating the grand march for science and technology.

They proposed tasks and ways for the field of science and technology to hold high the torch of innovations in the van of the general advance in hearty response to Kim Jong Un's New Year Address.
