A. Usupbayev, chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgys El" Republican Political Party of Kyrgyzstan, said this in his statement issued on January 27 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il.

He went on:

Kim Jong Il firmly defended the sovereignty of socialist Korea by resolutely smashing the vicious moves of the imperialist allied forces headed by the U.S. imperialists to stifle the DPRK with his unique Songun politics.

He also developed the Workers' Party of Korea into a mother party serving the people, further consolidated the harmonious whole of the leader, party and masses as firm as a rock and provided a foundation for bringing about a radical turn in economic construction and improvement of the people's living standard.

The DPRK emerged as a satellite manufacturer and launcher and nuclear weapons state under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il and brought about world-startling miracles and innovations in building a thriving nation.
