L. Khaisandai, chairman of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development, and D. Michka, member of the Guidance Council of the Mongolian Peace and Friendship Organization, were elected co-chairmen of the committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and hold diverse political and cultural events including film show, photo exhibition and celebration performance between January 29 and April 20.
