Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, said this in his statement issued on January 27 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il.

He said:

It was a noteworthy event in accomplishing the human cause of independence that Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as an integral system of ideology, theory and method of Juche.

Kim Jong Il authored many works including "On the Juche Idea," developing and comprehensively systemizing the Juche idea founded by Kim Il Sung.

He made public a series of works including "Socialism Is a Science" late in the 20th century when imperialists were talking a lot about the "end of socialism," thus proving the truth and validity of the socialist cause and its sure victory and clarifying overall theoretical and practical issues arising in accomplishing the human cause of independence.

He created an international climate favorable for the DPRK and made a great contribution to the establishment of fair international relations and the accomplishment of the human cause of independence through his energetic external activities.

He always considered independence, peace and friendship as the basic idea of external activities and paid deep attention to building a new independent world.
