Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Bulgaria and Nigeria made public statements on January 27 in support of the crucial proposal and open letter of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK. The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association said: In order to ensure national security and peace the NDC of the DPRK proposed a halt to the projected U.S.-south Korea joint military drills which will drive the situation on the Korean peninsula to an extreme pitch of strain. It is high time for the south Korean authorities to put an end to all sorts of hostile acts and ceaseless provocations being committed against the fellow countrymen at the instigation of the U.S. We fully support the crucial proposal and open letter sent by the NDC of the DPRK to the south Korean authorities. The south Korean authorities should lend an ear to the voice of the progressive people calling for peace on the Korean peninsula, not war. The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea said that supreme leader Kim Jong Un indicated the realistic way of making a fresh advance in the national reunification movement this year, and went on: We express full support and solidarity with the crucial proposal and open letter of the NDC of the DPRK, recognizing them as the most just and realistic way of paving a wide avenue for improving the north-south relations. We also demand the authorities, various political parties, public organizations and people from all walks of life in south Korea respond to the above-said proposal and letter reflecting the desire and wish of all the Korean people and other progressive people. |
