Andre Aubry, president of the France-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il and organize diverse events on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star.

It also decided to conduct positive solidarity activities for supporting the Korean people's just cause.
