The secretary of the chieftain council said this at the ceremony of conveying the certificates of the title that took place in the city on Jan. 29. He went on:

Kim Il Sung performed immortal exploits on behalf of the era and history holding aloft the banner of independence.

He liberated Korea through the arduous anti-Japanese armed struggle and led the Fatherland Liberation War against the U.S. imperialists to victory and built socialism centered on the popular masses.

He also fully supported and encouraged African countries including Nigeria in their national liberation struggle and efforts for building new society.

Kim Jong Il left great exploits guaranteeing the eternal foundation and rosy future of socialist Korea as his legacy.

He further strengthened and developed the Workers' Party of Korea into an invincible guiding force, the DPRK into an impregnable socialist power and the Korean People's Army into matchless and invincible army.

He made a great contribution to the development of the friendly relations between Nigeria and the DPRK.

Kim Jong Un who is identical to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in thinking, leadership and traits is wisely leading the Korean people to advance along the road of independence, Songun and socialism.

The Korean people will surely achieve the cause of building a thriving socialist nation, united close around Kim Jong Un.
