S. Korean Authorities Urged to Positively Respond to DPRK's Crucial Proposal

| Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Twelve political parties and public organizations of Pakistan including the Peasants and Working People's Party of Pakistan and the Pakistan Association for Self-Reliance Studies released a joint statement on Jan. 26 in support of the crucial proposal of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK. The statement said: The NDC of the DPRK sent a crucial proposal to the south Korean authorities for easing the tension on the Korean peninsula. This proposal encourages the progressive people striving for the global peace. It is also a reasonable, practical and proper proposal in the interests of not only the Koreans but other people around the world. One nation living on the same territory should not be divided any longer. Korea's reunification is the cherished desire of the Korean people. We fully support the crucial proposal for defusing the tension on the Korean peninsula and ensuring the regional peace. It is not war but peace that brings happiness and prosperity to the people. Let us realize the peaceful reunification of Korea. We demand the south Korean authorities positively respond to the crucial proposal of the NDC of the DPRK. |
