Kim Jong Il Prize Awarded to Ri Si Hup

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il Prize was awarded to Ri Si Hup, researcher at the Material Engineering Faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Ri settled scientific and technological issues of importance, trained talents of science and technology and wrote lots of books, greatly contributing to developing science and technology of the country and building an economic power.

In this regard a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK was promulgated on Feb. 5.
