The association in its statement hoped that the south Korean authorities would positively respond to the fair and aboveboard proposals of the NDC of the DPRK.

Yousef Al Amiri, president of the Kuwait House of Works who doubles as chairman of the Kuwait-DPRK Friendship Association, expressed full support for the efforts of the DPRK to remove distrust between the north and the south of Korea and mend their relations.

He expressed belief that the peace-loving initiative and efforts of the DPRK for improving the relations between the north and the south and achieving the security of the Korean peninsula would prove successful.
