Cancellation of Projected Key Resolve and Foal Eagle Demanded in Foreign Countries
Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- South African and Austrian political parties made public statements on Jan. 29 and 30 in support of the crucial proposal and open letter of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK.

The Gauteng Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party in the statement fully supported the crucial proposal and open letter of the NDC of the DPRK to pave a wide avenue for improving the inter-Korean relations by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.

It demanded the U.S. and south Korean authorities halt at once not only all military provocations threatening the peace and security on the Korean peninsula such as Key Resolve and Foal Eagle scheduled to start late in February but also the smear campaign.

It reiterated its will to always stand by the Korean people struggling for the accomplishment of their just cause.

The Vienna, 21 County Committee of the Communist Party of Austria said it could clearly understand the DPRK's will to achieve Korea's reunification and regional peace and security through the crucial proposal and open letter.

The south Korean authorities has no reason to turn down the DPRK's proposal for putting an end to hurling slanders and calumnies at the other side, it said and went on:

We demand the south Korean authorities immediately accept the reasonable crucial proposal and open letter of the DPRK and halt the war exercises unconditionally.

We will as ever stand by the Workers' Party of Korea and Korean people.
