Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Sweden and Austria issued statements on January 29 and 30 in support of the crucial proposal of the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK. The Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said that it welcomes the crucial proposal of the NDC of the DPRK giving clear answers to problems arising in improving the north-south relations. It continued: It is necessary to mend the north-south ties in order to achieve the peaceful reunification by the concerted efforts of the Koreans. The above-said proposal is one step forward for improving the north-south relations and the south Korean authorities should immediately respond to it. Only when the north and the south stop the smear campaign and hostile military acts against the other side as proposed by the NDC of the DPRK, can trust and cooperation be achieved. The NDC stressed that the DPRK's nuclear force is a means for deterring the U.S. nuclear threats to it. The DPRK's nuclear force is by no means for blackmailing against its country fellowmen and hurting them. The south Korean authorities should not introduce the U.S. nukes into the Korean peninsula and deny the DPRK's nukes. Now is the time for the south Korean authorities to stop remaining servants of the U.S. imperialists and enemy of the Korean nation but opt for cooperation and detente between the north and the south. The Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and DPRK extended full support to the crucial proposal sent by the NDC of the DPRK to the south Korean authorities, stressing that supreme leader Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address called for defusing the tension on the Korean peninsula. It said that it would render positive cooperation to the Korean people in their efforts to realize the above-said proposal. |
