Crucial Proposal of NDC of DPRK Supported by Russian, Polish Personages
Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- Personages of Russia and Poland released statements on Jan. 23 and 27 in support of the crucial proposal made by the National Defence Commission (NDC) of the DPRK.

Zakidkin, first vice-chairman of the Moscow Veterans' Committee of Russia, said:

The NDC of the DPRK sent a crucial proposal to the south Korean authorities to mend the inter-Korean relations and protect peace on the Korean peninsula.

The south Korean authorities should cancel their projected joint military drills with the U.S. as they will increase the danger of war and harass peace and security on the peninsula.

It is natural for the DPRK to bolster up its nuclear deterrence for self-defence to cope with the nuclear threat of the U.S. and its hostile policy toward the DPRK.

We positively support the crucial proposal made by the NDC of the DPRK to pave a broad avenue for improving the north-south relations.

Juzef Lachut, a member of the National Executive Committee of the Polish Communist Party and chairman of the Executive Committee of the Warsaw Regional Committee of the party, said:

The crucial proposal of the NDC of the DPRK is of very great significance in ensuring peace and security on the peninsula.

We express our full support to the DPRK's proposal for creating an atmosphere for the improvement of the inter-Korean relations.
